I use only positive reinforcement methods for everything from basic training to behavior modification. Everything I do with you and your dog is based on Family Dog Mediation® and the Total Welfare Model. FDM® is an ethological approach to understanding all aspects of your dog. FDM® enables us to address behavioral issues by examining what key elements, based on the Total Welfare Model, are missing in your dog’s life and figuring out how to incorporate those things in a fun, meaningful and non-disruptive manner. Almost all of the cases I see are not behavioral problems at all, rather they are dogs trying to get their needs met in ways that become disruptive and sometimes, dangerous. The solutions are often simple, straightforward “hacks” that can make a huge difference for your dog and for you!
